Hurricane Ridge, Olympic NP
It gets its name from the winds that frequent the location. Hurricane Ridge is just close enough to the water, high enough in elevation, and has some other characteristics that make it just right. There were many trees along the hike that had their growth impacted by the winds, the deep snow the area receives, or a combination of the two.
