The train we just got off of, making its way back down the mountain.
The end of the train.
Right now we are about 2800 feet above sea level. We will be getting higher soon!
We had about a 40 min wait for the train back to Oslo, so I of course took a ton of pictures.
But what a view to wake up to every morning!
We are on the train now, and into one of the most breathtaking experiences I have ever had.
The environment during the train ride was so different from anything I had ever experienced.
No trees, but mountain lakes.
This is the rail stop at Finse. Along the entire length of the rail line is a road, and Finse is one of the major stops for folks to bike along the road.
These folks just got off bikes and were running to catch our train.
The huts scattered throughout these pictures are called hytte and are basically bare-bones huts that are vacation homes for Norwegians.
In retrospect, I should have taken a lot more photos, but I was spending too much time staring out the window.
I wish we could have stopped and had some time outside for pictures!
